PARENTS PLEASE you want to READ this and learn about the horrible "CHOKING GAME"

R.I.P Izaac d'Aquin Auguste Dobles
1996-2010

R.I.P Izaac d'Aquin Auguste Dobles 1996-2010
I am sad to say that saturday Oct 2 2010 at 3:30pm, We lost our beautiful 14 year old son Izaac d'Aquin to a horrible tragic event on Saturday. A horrible "game" that kids play to get a quick "high". My son was a straight "A" student, a great Silat martial artist and a great soccer player. He was a beautiful kid that loved everyone and was always there to be a great friend for everyone. He had his whole life ahead of him. I can not even begin to express to you the pain his mom and I and the rest of his family feels. But I must write this for you all. I want to educate you all about the "choking game" kids play and experiment with to get a 15 sec "high". You need to become very aware about this very horrible thing that is attacking our youth today. You will soon realize It is worse than drugs, Highly addictive, easy to do, and "legal", which is why this is so dangerous and which is why kids are attracted to it. Kids even talk about it right infront of their parents and their parents even know what they are talking about. It is known by many names: SPACE MONKEY, SPACE COWBOY, SUFFOCATION ROULETTE, HANGING GAME. It is also known as the "GOOD KID HIGH" cause again there is no drug involved and its "legal". Yet kids do not realize how deadly this is. Even if a kid survives they would end up with dead brain cells & also posible brain damage. It targets over achieving kids who want to expermint with a "high" but with out the fear of getting caught doing "drugs". Kids are doing it in groups, they are also pushing eachother to do it alone and use ropes, scarves, belts, guitar straps. You must be fully aware of all the ways they play the "choking game". We taught our kids to say no to drugs and to be good kids. We had no idea about the "GOOD KID HIGH". We had no idea about any of this stuff till unfortunately after he passed. We where always trying to stay on top of all our children so they can grow healthy and live good lives. We must educate our loved ones, friends and children. PLease pass these links around to your friends who are parents. We must do our best to let everyone know so kids today become educated as soon as possible. Parents you want to talk to your kids now about this and educate them. I know its tough but please you need to educate yourselves about this horrible game claiming our youth and you must teach your kids about the "Choking Game" so that we can all save lives as of today.
Thank you for taking the time to read about this. Peace and God Bless you & your loved ones.

Santiago Dobles & The Dobles - d'Aquin family

You will want to read all the information below and also visit the website below so you get as much knowlegde as you can on this horrible game so you can educate your kids now about the choking game.

PLease read these links:

What happens:
When the brain is deprived of oxygen and/or blood, cells immediately start to die. Plus, any of the following could happen the first or any time:
Bruises/concussions (from falling after passing out)
Short term memory loss
Brain Damage
Retinal hemorrhaging
Stroke
Cardiac arrest
Seizures
Brain Death
(permanent vegetative state)
Death

Although there are not firm numbers, many researchers say a high percentage of suicides by suffocation (especially among kids/teens/young adults) are actually victims of the Choking Game.

Who's Playing?
Parents and teachers may think the youngsters in their lives would never get involved in such a dangerous activity. But, remember, a majority of kids see the Choking Game as risky – not deadly. Who plays the game?
Primarily kids in from 9-15 years old, in middle school, will be the players. But that is by no means exclusionary. Kids as young as 6 or 7 have been injured playing, and so have young adults up through their late 20s.

Warning signs:
Bruising or red marks around the neck (
sometimes hidden by means of a turtleneck, a scarf or a permanently turned-up collar)
Ligatures (bed sheets, belts, tee-shirts, ties, ropes) tied in knots (
questions about such objects are often eluded)
Wear marks on furniture (bunk beds, closet rods) from previous incidences
Disorientation after being alone
Unusual need for privacy (locked bedroom doors)
Bloodshot eyes, pinpoint bruising around the eyes
Changes in attitude (aggressive behavior)
Headaches, sometimes excruciatingly bad ones
A
thud in the bedroom or against a wall – meaning a fall in cases of kids playing the game alone.

Prevention/intervention:
It is e
ssential to talk to children about the dangers of choking themselves or others - keep in mind they feel it's 'just passing out' because it's not doing drugs or illegal behavior. Tell them that EVERY time they play this kind of game they are risking death -either brain cells or themselves.

If you know your child is actively participating:
• Increase supervision- be aware of your child’s activities and whereabouts
• Remove any paraphernalia that could be used as a ligature.
• Alert school personnel (the Prairie View Prevention Services prevention counselor at your child’s school, the principal, nurse, school counselor, school police, teachers, etc.) If one student is involved, there probably are others involved.
• Alert the parents of your children’s friends.
• Consult with a physician to explore and address any health needs that have
resulted due to participation in this activity.
•If an older teen is involved, younger children in the same family may be at risk
for participating in this activity.

The Choking Game is also known as Blackout, Fainting Game, Space Monkey, Dream Game, Suffocation Roulette, Pass-out Game, Flat Liner, California Choke, Space Cowboy, Airplaning, Purple Dragon and many more nicknames.

Silat Tip 27: Striking Tips

The Dobles Institute News -- Silat Tip 27: Striking Tips

Striking Tips:

Use continuous hitting.

Strike with the thumb, fist, knuckles pr extended knuckle, palm,
spear, elbow, knee, foot, shoulder, head.

If you hit a soft area use the fist.

If you hit a hard area use the palm.

If striking with a stick hit bone or joints.

If striking with a blade hit soft tissue near arteries, nerves and
pressure points.

Knife: Thrust slash, slash thrust, fillet, dig in, press, index

Stick: Poke, Hit, Smash, Smear, Press, Dig in, index, double hand grip
press and compress.

If you attack low follow it up by attacking high.

If you attack high follow it up by attacking low.

If you attack inside the leg, follow with hit outside the head.

if you attack outside the leg follow with hit to opposite side of
head.

Hit pressure points, internal organs, eyes, groin, throat, nose
arteries etc.

If the elbow hits the hand follows.

If the hand hits the elbow follows.

Your hits should sting and burn your opponent. Your palm slaps should
leave red marks and burn like hell.

when you strike also rub and burn, smear, smash, etc "light a match".

Your fists should bruise the attacker & knock him out.

In order to knock people out you need to learn where to hit. Come to
class for that or go see Guru Cliff Stewart.

For delivering explosive power and "sting" (Fajing in chinese internal
martial arts)

Tighten up your muscles and tendons at the point of impact and then
relax. Imagine it like turning on a light switch and then turning it
off.

Exhale on impact with a " fast blowing out from the nose" or a "SHHHH"
sound with abs contract at the point of impact and then relax.

Your hits should be like the crack of a whip. Hit and then retract it
as fast as you can. The hip should retract a bit before the hit in the
opposite direction of the striking target and then the hip moves
towards the target with your hitting hand and then as you have hit you
then retract the hip and strike back towards opposite direction. Guru
Plinck has this done like no other. Think of it like generating
explosive power from the hips (Fajing in chinese). It can be seen as
applying a bit of GELEK to generate force and power. Or thinking of
the hips as the handle of a whip and your fist as the tip of the whip
that cracks.

Another form of Fajing is done by stomping with the foot as you hit to
create a surge of energy coming from earth to the fist hitting the
target. This is common in some forms of kuntau, Bagua, Chen Tai Chi,
Xing Yi, Sera, Cimande, It is similar to a "PAM" in Ed parker & Ron
chapels Kenpo.

Another form of explosive power is to jump slightly off the ground
each time you deliver a blow or an elbow. This is common in MONYET
(Monkey) & Macan (Tiger) silat styles.

Try to develop 1 inch and no inch power research wing chun punch and
Bruce Lee's 1inch punch.

Also a good strike to learn is to hit with your whole body behind the
strike. This can be seen in a good delivery of a sangsut (Upper cut),
Tai chi, Ninpo. This is down by stepping into the punch and allowing
the core to move together with the blow at the target. Its a "HEAVY"
fist.

I hope this helps and gets you thinking a bit more about how you can
deliver the most devastating blow and also the most explosive blow
possible. Remember if you know where to hit and how to hit, all you
need is one blow.

Healing Tip:

Be careful with your training partners if by mistake you hit your
friends to hard as you train, ease back on the "juice".

Also if you hurt them Sit them down cross legged with their palms on
their belly and spine straight. Rub your palms till they get hot as
you do deep belly breathing while the tongue is against the upper
palate.

Place the hot palms on the area where you hit them or hurt them and
gently slap the area, rub it in circles till warm with some positive
mental intention & affection (loving kindness, compassionate warmth or
think of the color of JADE GREEN, think "May you heal" etc). Feel your
warmth transferring to that person and healing the affected area.

Then rub your palms again and get them hot and massage their GB20's on
both side in an upwards motions 7 to 15 xs gently so think of it like
squeezing a toothpaste tube upwards gently. This will restore energy
flow in their meridians and body.

Guru Cliff has knocked me out before and in seconds restored my
functions so I was back to normal. I could only imagine how scary it
would be to get knocked o ut and not have one around you to restore
your flow. YIKES!

These techniques work GREAT. USE THEM.

From time to time I would like to hear from you and know how you are
doing in your training. Let me know if the silat tips are helping you
get better.

Please email me and send me your testimonials.
Peace

Silat Training and efforts to train.

I get a lot of people that want to train silat but they do not want to pay for it. I do not charge ridiculous high fees. I am very reasonable. I even work with students to help them afford to train. my teachers have been generous I also show generosity. I have spent thousands of dollars to learn this art. I also get a lot of people that say they want to train silat with me. A lot of them tell me "I want to go but its too far for me". (Aprox 5 to 20 miles away). I have traveled across the country and all over the USA & all over the UK to learn Silat (thousands of miles). Spent a tremendous amount of money, sweat, time, and spent even sleepless nights to learn what i know. I am still preparing to travel all over the world to learn more silat. So please if you tell me that 5 to 20 miles is to far to come to class. Then you don't really want to learn Silat and you don't really want to train Silat and you really don't have the desire to really become Silat. The training is there for you but you have to make the effort to come learn silat and you have to want to train Silat with me so I can actually teach you. Now come to silat class when you are ready. If you are in Los Angeles Seek out Maha Guru Cliff Stewart. If you are in UK seek out Guru Muhammad Arifin & Guru Simon Das. They are amazing Silat teachers and know their stuff. Aside from that they do it from the heart and they do it for real. Others just want to dangle the "Silat" carrot in front of you as you waste 16 years training in a system that goes nowhere and when the student is done they can't even fight his or her way out of a wet paper bag. Or they claim they teach silat but instead they make you do countless ours of JKD instead and only a little silat on the weekend class. And in order to learn more silat from them they make you pay more than what you already pay a month to learn it. Instead of just teaching you Silat alone. Cause somehow they feel you need the "other" fillers in there to make students better at Silat. Give me a break. If a student wants to learn Silat teach them Silat! So you should go see my teachers or you can get on a plane and come see me I will teach you what you want to learn about Silat. I have also heard people say "oh he is too young he can't know enough about Silat to teach me". I have over 3,720 hours of actual teaching time alone in Silat that doesn't include my own personal training time and training under some of the best masters in the world. Some "masters" at best teach only once a week for one hour. Yet because they wear the "gear" and the Logos and the belts some how people assume they have actual teaching experience. Some of them actually have never tested or been put to a real life test with their silat. I have gotten also from folks "oh he has no experience he is too young" I have used the art to survive several real encounters during doing body guard work in South Florida. "Oh he has no real school & no Uniforms" Uniforms wont teach you how to Fight nor survive a real conflict. My "Actual" School has mats they are made out of Concrete and Solid Earth. Some of the best silat training i have done has been out doors and in all masters' hard kitchen floors. If you really want to learn silat and you really want to learn how to defend yourself and your family then you want to get off your Butt and come to my Silat Classes or seminars soon.
